Before founding Catalyze, Travis explored a diverse background, starting with business and technology. After securing his MBA and MS, he analyzed security systems with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Booz Allen Hamilton. Eventually Travis crossed into the clinical world, becoming an MD in 2011.
In 2015, Travis participated in a panel at SXSW discussing HIPAA, compliance, and innovation. In 2013, Travis participated in a panel discussion at the annual mHealth Summit with former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD). The panel focused on government compliance. Earlier in the year, he presented a keynote titled "Connected Health—The Coming Wave in Search of a Beach" at the annual AHIMA conference, and led innovation sessions at the conference. Travis has also keynoted at past HIMSS and Health 2.0 conferences.
Travis has contributed to VentureBeat and HITconsultant, but is most active as a contributor to HIStalk Mobile where he has over 450 publications. His expertise on compliance, HIPAA, and health IT is highly regarded and sought after.
Mohan is an engineer by training, passionate about healthcare, data and technology. He is a firm believer in "connecting the dots." He founded Catalyze to help bring change to healthcare.
Before founding Catalyze, Mohan worked within supply chain management and master data management. After securing degrees from IIT Bombay and University of Pennsylvania, he worked with Fortune 100 companies developing solutions for their supply chain and data management needs. From there, he applied lessons learned to healthcare at US Oncology (now part of McKesson) and Net.Orange (now part of NantHealth).
Mohan moved into multi-platform development after seeing first-hand the challenges of an emerging mobile economy. He is a YCombinator Summer 2012 alum. He has presented at various HIMSS and AHIP sessions, and is a noted speaker about compliance at healthcare events.
As the Chief Product Officer, Raj leads up the Product Management and Engineering functions at Catalyze. Before joining Catalyze, Raj was the CIO of the Identity and Fraud business and Senior Vice-President (Technology) for Equifax’s Technology and Analytical Services division. At Equifax, Raj led the technology strategy, product management and development, professional services and operations for the Risk Decisioning and Identity Management solutions. Raj has led product management and development efforts across Chronic Disease Management, Revenue Cycle Management, eMPI, Supply Chain Management and Master Data Management domains and has driven solution delivery initiatives to a global customer base across Healthcare, Financial Services, Telecommunications, Federal Agencies and Manufacturing sectors.
Raj holds a Masters in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, India.
Mark joined Catalyze to help bring healthcare forward into the new era of value-based care. He believes in the value of openness and transparency, but the importance of privacy and security.
Since March 2015, Mark Olschesky has served as Chief Data Officer. Before joining Catalyze, Mark led clinical implementation teams at Epic Systems. During his time at Epic, Mark specialized in cross-application workflows, clinical workflow optimization and healthcare application security. He has since applied his skills to improving patient portal implementations at MEDSEEK (now Influence Health) and building tools for Safety Net communities at Moxe Health, where he was a Rock Health v4 Alumnus.
He has previously won awards for healthcare application design from Microsoft, Allscripts, UCSF and Twilio. He is a an active Open Source Health Data enthusiast and contributor. Mark graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dickinson College in 2006.
In his role at Catalyze, Casey helps organizations meet the demand of healthcare transformation through innovation and collaboration. Prior to joining Catalyze, Casey worked at Epic Systems for 10 years and managed active implementation projects for healthcare systems moving to Epic. When Epic began offering software hosting, he transferred to the Hosting team to organize, lead, and manage the effort. Casey oversaw the on-boarding process for all customers and managed the timeline-critical projects to support those customers including network circuit provisioning, HIPAA and SOC2 compliance, the creation of a network operations centers, hardware sizing and deployment, and the deployment of all Epic and third party software within the data centers.
He holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and Economics from University of Missouri.
Adam Leko leads the technical vision of Catalyze as its CTO & CISO. His background is in high-performance computing, distributed systems, and security. Adam has a MS in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, has scholarly publications in the areas of high-performance embedded networking and performance analysis, and is co-author of a patent for processing streams of data in a distributed environment (US 8959075 B2).
At Catalyze, Vince leads the team keeping the lights on and delivering new features that make compliance easy. He came to Catalyze with over 15 years of software development and IT infrastructure management. He started his career at Weather Central, now part of The Weather Channel, delivering digital weather solutions and APIs. Vince then leveraged his infrastructure automation expertise in the health space at Pharmacy OneSource, continuously expanding the capacity of their HL7 message processing engine to keep up with millions of messages daily.
Vince has a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from UW Madison.
Emily joined Catalyze as VP of Finance, following a long career of working with small, entrepreneurial companies and helping them grow into multi-million dollar organizations.
Most recently Emily was with ITriage as their VP of Finance where she saw the healthcare industry’s challenges and opportunities for improvement. Emily joined when iTriage was still an early-stage growth company and helped scale the organization up until, and after, they were acquired by Aetna.
Emily’s passion for startups began early in her career when she moved to Bozeman, MT to help her father co-found the successful men’s footwear brand H.S. Trask & Co. The entrepreneurial bug hasn’t left her since.
In his role at Catalyze, Kevin helps companies enhance their value propositions by turning compliance and interoperability into an asset.
Prior to joining Catalyze, Kevin spent over a decade in early stage companies. As the founder of Compareabill.com, he led the way in healthcare consumerism. From there, he worked at the nation's leading patient advocacy firm, leading a team dedicated to helping patients navigate the healthcare system and make more informed choices about their care. Most recently, he managed strategic relationships and did solution design at a startup focused on human capital management automation and enterprise collaboration.
He has a BS from the University of Minnesota, is a licensed freefall skydiver, PADI Divemaster, and extensive traveler (27 countries and counting).
Kris leads a team focused on communicating Catalyze's story and brand to the industry. He contributes to revenue growth by managing Catalyze's inbound marketing processes, and guides Catalyze's broad content creation efforts throughout the customer lifecycle.
Prior to Catalyze Kris was VP of Product for an enterprise voice telephony company. The combination of internally- and externally-focused leadership roles has helped shaped his holistic view on product/market fit. He believes in the importance of sitting at the intersection of business, technology, and human-centered design to craft empathetic products for markets in need.
Ryan hails from the agency world, where in Washington D.C. he worked with some of the greatest global brands including Audi, Volkswagen and Ducati. Before that he co-founded an edTech startup in Rochester, NY, which helped public schools save time and money by replacing archaic grading machines with standard printers. His application leveraged optical character recognition technology to standardize and grade multiple choice tests.
Ryan studied design and engineering at R.I.T. where he focused his education on building usable, accessible software. Originally from the corn fields of Upstate New York, he now resides in Portland, OR.
In her role at Catalyze, Marcia drives external communication strategy in projects as diverse as conferences, public relations, customer-driven content, and the Healthcare Innovation Series.
Marcia has more than seven years experience directing national and international public relations efforts and was the initial PR Director for the healthcare startup iTriage (an Aetna aquisition). She has worked in the Mass Communication field for decades as a television reporter, magazine writer and newspaper journalist. She holds a B.S. in Mass Communications from Lamar University.
Vikki brings passion for team creation and growth as Director of Human Resources. Prior to Catalyze, Vikki led employee recruitment, hiring, and retention efforts as Director of Talent Management at Spotlite, a specialized benefits product company acquired by Rally Health. Prior to Spotlite, she served as VP of Talent Development at Retrofit, a transformative online weight management solution. As a member of the Senior Management team, Vikki oversaw and provided strategic direction for all recruitment and HR organizational objectives.
Prior to her graduate degree from DePaul university, Vikki received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Marketing at the University of St. Francis.
